Tired of the amusements of the court, Lady Harriet, a lady of rank to Queen Anne, forms a plan.
Accompanied by Nancy her maid, they visit the local servants’ fair disguised as servant girls in search of employment.
Unintentionally, they find themselves contracted for a year to two young farmers named Lionel and Plunkett.
Through chance they must navigate the social status of society and ask themselves what truly matters; is it rank and title, or is it love happily ever after?
